Key Programmes
Our science programme is built on active, hands-on learning. We connect classroom concepts to real-world applications, building critical thinking and confidence in every student.
Secondary 1 and 2: Building a Strong Foundation and Sharpening Critical & Inventive Thinking
At this level, we make abstract science tangible. Students discover how STEM solve everyday problems during an immersive visit to the Science Centre. Students learn to navigate a world of information by discerning fact from fiction in our game-based ‘Marvel in Science’ programme.
The lower secondary curriculum culminates in a major integrative project that connects science with our Outdoor Education LLP. Drawing from their resilience camp experiences, students apply science principles to a guided challenge which is designing and building a functional miniature zipline from recycled materials. This project fosters teamwork, ingenuity, and a profound understanding of scientific principles in action.
Upper Secondary: Exploring Future Pathways
The focus shifts to deepening scientific interests through authentic learning experiences. Students collaborate on health science projects with external organisations like the Singapore Heart Foundation and National Kidney Foundation. Furthermore, learning journeys to tertiary institutions offer a direct look into science at the tertiary level and potential career pathways, connecting their passion for science to future possibilities.

Stretch Programmes
Students who show passion and potential in Science will be provided with opportunities to participate in fairs and competitions. These programmes are designed to challenge students to go beyond their current level of academic performance by exposing them to more advanced learning opportunities. Other than preparing students for the rigours of higher education, stretch programmes offered by our department aim to develop research, critical thinking skills and analytical skills, as well as strengthen the students’ confidence. Students will gain valuable insights into their own learning abilities, allowing them to adjust their approach to learning in a fun and innovative manner.

International Elementz Fair, Singapore Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF), Singapore Youth Science Fair (SYSF):
An opportunity for students to conduct scientific research, develop prototypes that can benefit society, and apply their knowledge to solve real-world problems.
IgnITE Skills Challenge:
A competition that introduces students to technical skills and ITE courses through engaging, hands-on challenges and workshops, providing insights into future career options
